Contrasting - Musical Family Tree

Okay, I admit, I did not include the 8-track or cassette here.  Today's theme: Contrasts.  Specifically, the contrast was to tell a story.  I'm not sure how much of my photo is contrast so much as it is the evolution of music media, but hey, contrast the 8GB iPod Touch to the 640MB audio CD to the 45 and the LP, and there ya go!  The real question, of course, is how many readers/viewers actually own(ed) the "Blast Off" LP or cassette??  The one pictured here is Shan's, but I remember the cassette as being one of the first one I ever bought in my Columbia House Tape Club membership.  Remember those days?  Buy 1, get 12 free?  Ahhhh... The memories.

Daily Photo (Something Sharp)

Today's photo challenge was "something sharp" - to be interpreted any way the photographer sees fit.  Of course, I wanted to take a picture of a Sharp-brand copier or something, but that was just not within reach today.  So, I opted instead for my son's model/action figure-thingy.  He is FULL of sharpness!  Especially his head.  Let me tell you, step on that little bugger and ZOOM! To The Moon!

Talkin' Tribe!

Yesterday's Daily Photo was supposed to be something Spring or Winter related in honor of Groundhog's Day.  Well, I thought about taking a picture of Tyler at baseball practice, but I didn't have my camera with me (doh!).  So, while at the house, I found something that reminds me of the upcoming Spring season: The Tribe!  Though I grew up around Pittsburgh, I have been a die-hard Indians fan since I was about 5 or 6.  I'm not sure exactly why it happened, but somehow I connected my Dad's parents with the Indians (they lived in Cleveland but were not baseball fans that I recall).  Ever since then, I have loved following the Indians as I could.  I hope one day to see them play in Cleveland - it's on my "bucket list!"

Something(s) Orange

In one of the challenges for posting a picture everyday, the idea was to find something orange and take a picture. It turns out, that something was on the coffee table right in front of me at the house!  Not only the book Shan is reading orange, but the text on the "Guideposts" is orange, too!  Yay Me!  I am pretty sure this is the first time I actually posted a 'challenge' item on the challenge day. 

I'm not looking to win anything or to even really meet the challenges.  For me, the challenge is posting ANY picture once a day!

Emily stands next to her tall tower!

After Sunday lunch, Emily decided to help Kensley (pictured behind Em) play with building blocks.  It wasn't long before Emily was trying to see if she could build a tower taller than she is.  It took nearly every block they had, but she finally achieved her goal!  She was very proud.
