Popped in Chicago

I recently took a trip with a colleague to Chicago.  We stayed far enough outside of town that we had to take the trains each day to get where we were going.  I had never ridden a mass transit train before. I was shocked they still use live conductors.  I was in 2012 and 1940 all at the same time.  I snapped a couple pics while I was there:
