I didn't call the vet...

Today (Saturday) is cleaning day at our house. The whole time I was cleaning (well, helping to clean - it is a shred chore), I kept thinking about calling the vet to check on Bud Kitty. After we were done cleaning, my Mom came over and she wanted me to call the vet. Shan and I agreed that the problem with calling the vet is two-fold - on one hand, if she is not doing better (or is doing worse), we don't really want to know that when we could do nothing about it until Tuesday. On the other hand, if she was doing better, we are afraid our hopes would be raised too high before we could see her again on Tuesday. So, I did not call the vet.

Throughout the day, I looked for Bud, even though I knew she wasn't here. It's weird how some things are such habit, you do them without thinking...

After cleaning, we took the kids to the pool. The pool is open through the weekend before it closes for the season. We all had fun, even though I was not planning on swimming. I enjoy swimming, but am very self-conscious about a lot of things and it takes a lot to get me over it enough to get in the pool...

After swimming and supper, Shan mowed the lawn and I ran the weed-eater. I'm curious to know if I am the only one that chases large critters with the weed-eater... Huge spiders are no match (which if you know my history with spiders, you understand why!) for my spinning plastic thread of doom! :-) It is great fun, and makes the work seem a bit less like work...

Tonight's ramblings are short and to the point... It's Labor Day Weekend, after all, and I'm 'vacationing' a bit.. :-)

  1. David, I love reading you blog - especially when you include stuff about Daddy. I know you miss him as much as I do - some days it is more than I can bear. But seeing the stuff you type helps me. Thanks and keep it up. I love you - Mom
